Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society; to Professor [Sir Arthur] Schuster, FRS Advises that at the meeting of the Council of the Royal Society on the 11 December, the President [Sir Joseph John Thomson, PRS] and the Council of the Royal Society appointed Professor [Sir Arthur] Schuster, FRS, to serve on the General Board of the National Physical Laboratory , and also appointed as a member of the Executive Committee of the Laboratory, both for a term ending in December 1925, and the President and the Council have requested that he consent to serve as Vice-Chairman of the Executive Committee. 13 December 1919
