<dc:title>Copy letter from Sir William Bate Hardy, FRS, Secretary of the Royal Society [?]; to Admiral Sir Henry B [Braderwine] Jackson, FRS, GCB</dc:title>
<dc:description>Regarding the visit of the Prince [of Wales, Edward VIII] on Thursday at 3.30pm, advises Professor [Sir William Henry] Bragg, FRS will give a short address on 'Sound and sub-marine signalling.' Says that when King Edward the VII was admitted when he was Prince of Wales, Sir William Crookes [PRS] gave the address which was followed by brief remarks of two or three minutes per speaker, from Lord Kelvin, [William Thomson, Baron Kelvin of Largs ], FRS, and Lord Raleigh, [Robert John Strutt, 4th Baron Rayleigh] FRS. Asks if Admiral Sir Henry B [Braderwine] Jackson, GCB could make a few remarks following Professor Bragg and the the President [Sir Joseph John Thomson, PRS]. [The signature is very faded but appears to be of Sir William Bate Hardy].</dc:description>
