<dc:title>Copy letter from Sir James Hopwood Jeans, FRS, Secretary of the Royal Society; to Professor JW [John William] Nicholson, FRS</dc:title>
<dc:description>Regarding Professor JW [John William] Nicholson's minute on the Eclipse paper, advises he does not think his Committee has any power to make a decision on priority. Suggests leaving out all reference to the matter, 'nothing was done and so nothing need go in the minutes,' but requests he make a suitable alteration if he does wish to make a minute. Says the enclosed memo [not enclosed] 'hardly affects you, as [Sir Frank Watson] Dyson [FRS] and myself can both report, but is being sent to all Chairmen on my side.' </dc:description>
