Copy letter from Sir James Hopwood Jeans, Secretary of the Royal Society; to the Secretary of the Institution of Electrical Engineers In response to a request for a grant for £200 towards the publication of the Physical Section of Science Abstracts, the President [Sir Joseph John Thomson, PRS] and Council of the Royal Society are awarding for 1920 a grant of £50 from the government publication grant, and £150 from the Special Publication Grant, 'a special fund which has been granted by the Treasury for the present crisis only.' 27 February 1920
