<dc:title>Copy letter from James Hopwood Jeans, Secretary of the Royal Society; to Professor [John Cunningham] McLennan, FRS</dc:title>
<dc:description>Refers to four papers recently communicated by Professor [John Cunningham] McLennan. Explains that the Committee are willing to recommend 'Arc spectra in vacuo and spark spectra in hellium of various elements' for publication if a wave-length scale is added to the plate of spectra; that before going forward with 'Spark Spectra of various elements in helium in the extreme ultraviolet' the Committee would like Professor McLennan's thoughts on the referee's criticisms; that 'Low voltage ionization phenomena in mercury vapour' is still under consideration; and that 'Note on vacuum grating spectroscopy' is too slight to warrant publication by itself.</dc:description>
