Copy letter from James Hopwood Jeans, Secretary of the Royal Society; to Sir Joseph [John] Thomson, President of the Royal Society Informs Sir Joseph John Thomson that the Secretary of the Government Fund has insisted that if the Society desire to have a dinner for the Catalogue Delegates, a list of the guests must be sent at once. Suggests that, under the circumstances, it seems undesirable to proceed with the Dinner. Suggests instead arranging a semi-private dinner when the number of guests is finally known.
