<dc:title>Copy letter from James Hopwood Jeans, Secretary of the Royal Society; to Sir [Joseph] Larmor, FRS</dc:title>
<dc:description>Informs Sir [Joseph] Larmor that at the Meeting of the National Committee for Mathematics the following were elected as Delegates to the Congress of Mathematicians in Strasburg: Professor [Ernest William] Hobson, Sir [Joseph] Larmor, Professor [Edmund Taylor] Whittaker and Professor [William Henry] Young. Notes that the French National Committee believe a meeting before the opening of the Congress would be useful to consider the formation of a Mathematical Union under the International Research Council and have suggested September 20th.

[Memorandum attached indicating that this was sent to the three other delegates and Professor Horace Lamb.] </dc:description>
