<dc:title>Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Lord Rayleigh [John William Strutt], Secretary, Royal Society</dc:title>
<dc:description>The inclosed letter from Mr McAulay arrived this morning. Rix had not heard about the telegram, it would have arrived during his absence. Mr White is now away but Rix finds that proofs were sent to the author on 27 August so that no harm is done and, with Strutt's sanction, they could easily substitute the two paragraphs inclosed herewith, for those at present standing in print [no enclosures].</dc:description>
