<dc:title>Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Frederick Ransome, 42 Melbourne Grove, East Dulwich</dc:title>
<dc:description>Fellows are not entitled to purchase the last five years of 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]' at a reduced price. There will, therefore, be a reduction on the volumes for 1883-1886 but none of those from 1887-1891, and the account will stand as on the enclosed list [not attached]. The 'Catalogue of Scientific Papers', volumes eight and nine, can only be obtained from Messrs Clay & Sons, Ave Maria Lane. Of these a Fellow is entitled to only one copy at a reduced price and in all probability Professor Thorpe has already exhausted his privilege. </dc:description>
