<dc:title>Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to G M Whipple, Kew Observatory, Richmond, Surrey</dc:title>
<dc:description>Whipple's enquiry received this morning has put Rix into some difficulty. He cannot find in their letter book any covering letter to the Board of Trade such as ought to have been written and copied if the articles of association were duly forwarded at the end of May. It is possible the Senior Secretary may have sent them off immediately after Council and neglected to have copies made. The whole matter is uncertain and it would relieve Rix of a difficulty if Whipple would write to the Board of Trade and ask whether they have yet received the articles of association. </dc:description>
