<dc:title>Copy letter from John Evans, to Messrs Robarts, Lubbock & Company</dc:title>
<dc:description>Evans asks the Messrs to ascertain if an amount of bank stock has been transferred out of Chancery into the name of the President, Council and Fellows of the Royal Society. If so, Evans asks the whole of it to be sold, and in addition, enough console to produce in all the sum of £13[?],000 which the Society is about to advance on a mortgage. As this is only selling and not buying again for investment Evans hopes a low rate of commission can be charged.</dc:description>
