  <dc:description>Purvis' letter addressed to Messrs Taylor &amp; Francis has been sent on to the Royal Society. The Royal Society's printers are actually Harrison &amp; Sons but all communications should be addressed to the Royal Society. Captain Noble's separate copies were sent off long before the receipt of Purivs' letter, to Jesmond Dene, and the Royal Society has no copies at either the Society or the printers.</dc:description>
