<dc:title>Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to D J Williams, Dyreham, Bushey, Herts.</dc:title>
<dc:description>In reply to Williams' note of yesterday, Rix regrets to say Professor Herkomer's letter was lost, but the Treasurer [John Evans] named £15 as the sum which he believed had been charged by [Hubert von] Herkomer for the frame [of the George Gabriel Stokes portrait]. The picture is covered with glass and if Williams will let Rix know the additional cost this involved he will at once drawn a cheque for the whole amount.</dc:description>
