<dc:title>Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to the Librarian, South African Public Library, Cape Town</dc:title>
<dc:description>Rix understands from the Librarian's letter of 2 September, that he applies for a grant of the missing numbers of 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]'. In that case the application must wait for a meeting of the Library Committee, which will not occur for a few months. The Royal Society's books show that numbers 271-280 went to the Library on 23 August 1889, through the Agent-General in the same parcel with the volumes of 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]' for 1888.</dc:description>
