<dc:title>Copy letter from James Hopwood Jeans, Secretary of the Royal Society; to Sir Frank [Watson] Dyson, FRS</dc:title>
<dc:description>Informs Sir Frank [Watson] Dyson that the Society are having difficulty deciding on one particular application to their Gore and Trevelyan Fund. Notes that the application is from P. M. Ryves, who asked for £200 to continue his observations on variable stars. Explains that his application has been to [Herbert Hall] Turner and Phillips, and that the former was of the opinion that such a grant might be better suited to another astronomical volunteer named Mr. Grover. Asks Sir Dyson who he thinks the grant should go to. </dc:description>
