J. Smith. Notes that in his application Mr. Smith writes that Professor Longbourne will vouch for his qualifications as a physicist. Asks Professor Longbourne to do so, specifically in regard to Mr. Smith's capabilities in his proposed research subject, 'Viscosity and molecular dimensions of some gases and vapours'. 21 June 1921
