<dc:title>Copy letter from Francis Alexander Towle, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society; to Gordon P. G. Hills Esquire; Fircroft, Cookham Dean, Berks</dc:title>
<dc:description>Regretfully informs Mr. Gordon P. G. Hills that they cannot help him with regard to the 'athanor furnace' of Peter Woulfe's, supposedly presented to the Society by Charles Hatchett. Notes that it is possible this happened, as Hatchett was a Fellow, however, there is no note of it in the Society's list of Instruments. Also corrects the year of Woulfe's death given in Mr Hills' letter from 1805 to 1803. </dc:description>
