<dc:title>Copy letter from James Hopwood Jeans, Secretary of the Royal Society; to Professor [John William] Nicholson, Chairman of the Mathematics Committee and FRS</dc:title>
<dc:description>Refers to Professor [John William] Nicholson's paper, 'Problems relating to a thin plane annulus'. Explains that he has consuluted a member of the Mathematics Committee who is in favour of publication, however, suggests it might be improved by the addition of numerical results for some cases. Informs him that he is writing to the referee of [Robert Vynne] Southwell's paper to ask if it might now be published in its amended form, and that they have received two new papers, one by [Frederick Bernard] Pidduck, 'The kinetic theory of a special type of rigid molecule', and one by [George Barker] Jeffery, 'The rotation of two circular cylinders in viscous fluid'. </dc:description>
