Nanji, 'The action of ammonia and of amino-compounds on reducing sugars', that Sir [Thomas] Edward Thorpe communicated to the Society. Explains that, in light of Professor Ling's comment that he would rather withdraw the paper than shorten it to half its length, the [Chemistry] Committee thought it best to get a second opinion, however, that this was also adverse. Notes that it is unlikely the Committee will do anything now other than decline to recommend this paper for publication. 15 February 1922
