Veale, has resigned to go to India, and proposes Mr. J. G. Garrett (Lecturer on Surveying, Birmingham University) as successor, who researches mine ventilation. Also proposes that Veale receives a quarter's salary for his work alongside Professor Moss, on the physiological effects of high temperatures in mines. 6 October 1923
