<dc:title>Copy letter from James Hopwood Jeans, Secretary of the Royal Society; to Lord Rayleigh [Robert John Strutt], FRS</dc:title>
<dc:description>Discusses [David] Brunt's paper 'The Dynamics of Cyclonesand Anticyclones regarded as Atmospheric Vortices', communicated by [William] Napier Shaw; [Geoffrey Ingram] Taylor reported adversely on the paper as its referee, but Napier Shaw supports it. Asks whether they should send the paper back to Taylor for further opinion, send it to a second referee, or publish it. Also informs Lord Rayleigh [Robert John Strutt] that [Alfred North] Whitehead has communicated M. D. Hart's paper 'The Degradation of Acoustical Energy', but is not sure it is suitable for publication, and asks Rayleigh to suggest a suitable referee.</dc:description>
