Copy letter from James Hopwood Jeans, Secretary of the Royal Society; to [Henry Reginald Arnulph] Mallock Esq., FRS Informs [Henry Reginald Arnulph] Mallock that he has enquired about the costs of the samples [of pure iron and pure carbon steel] that Mallock requires, and finds them higher than the earlier figure. Tells Mallock to get in touch directly with the National Physical Laboratory about making them, and then apply to the Royal Society for the sum of money required. 4 January 1924
