<dc:title>Copy letter from James Hopwood Jeans, Secretary of the Royal Society; [Robert John Strutt] Lord Rayleigh, FRS</dc:title>
<dc:description>Informs Robert John Strutt on 3 papers. 1: Asks to publish the paper 'The absorption and scattering of Y-rays' by N. Ahmad and E. C. Stoner, communicated by Rutherford. 2: Updates on the paper 'The use of the Coherer to investigate absorption films' by W. G. Palmer. That both Strutt and Jeans felt the paper should be sent to Richardson after being sent to Lodge. Richardson reported favourably on it but suggests the paper additionally be sent to Donna or McBain. Jeans suggests it be published unless Strutt feels otherwise. 3: On the paper 'A Self-Contained Standard Harmonic Wavemeter' by [David William] Dye, and communicated by Petavel. This paper has recently been returned without report from Eccles as he is ill, Glazebrook suggests Smith as a second referee.</dc:description>
