Copy letter from James Hopwood Jeans, Secretary of the Royal Society; to Colonel [Henry George] Lyons, FRS States that the matter of expenses for Royal Society delegates to Madrid [the International Geodesy and Geophysical Congress] has been over looked at the meeting, as Lyons had not delivered any paperwork. States that Lyons can expect the authorisation of expenses to be paid for [Herbert Hall?] Turner and [Charles] Chree and anyone else who goes to Madrid in their place. States the expenses will cover transport and accommodation to the maximum of £25. 6 August 1924
