Copy letter from Francis Alexander Towle, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society; to Sir Sidney [Frederic] Harmer, KBE, FRS Encloses a copy of the third referee's report on the paper 'Clausilia bidentata (Strom) etc' by W. E. Alkins, which recommends that the paper go before the Zoology Committee again as none of its referees quite agree whether to publish it. Also informs Harmer that the Zoology and Botany Committees must have a joint meeting to consider making a grant from the Darwin Fund to the Eugenics Education Society for assistance in research into the qualities and conditions of the population.
