<dc:title>Copy letter from Francis Alexander Towle, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society; to the Librarian; Bibliotheek der Maatschappij T. B. D. Geneeskunst, Amsterdam</dc:title>
<dc:description>In reply to the Librarian's letter, informs him that the Royal Society has about 200 original Leeuwenhoek letters, and another hundred including translations, extracts, reproductions, etc. Informs him that Clifford Dobell FRS has been working on sorting and identifying this collection for years, and that there is a printed Catalogue of the unpublished letters - asks if a copy is required. Discusses the number of these, and how the Librarian's Committe might go about photographing all 800 or so of them for the purpose of preparing an edition of Leeuwenhoek's works, a project they are contemplating.</dc:description>
