<dc:title>Copy letter from James Hopwood Jeans, Secretary of the Royal Society; to Prof. [Owen Willans] Richardson, FRS</dc:title>
<dc:description>Sends congratulations and states that Owen Willans Richardson can accept the Presidency of the Physical Society. Returns Rankine's letter [not enclosed]. Give thanks for Curtis's reply, but Jeans states it is not convincing and only meets the criticism of the first referee, and not the other. The reply will be sent to the first referee for a reply and possibly held off until the Sectional Committee meeting in January 1925.</dc:description>
