Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Mr Street, Office of Works Sends a line in explanation of the request for a soot-door in the enclosed memo [not attached] for the chimney of the archives room. The chimney in this room can only be swept half its length and is therefore a standing source of danger. Formerly the fire-place was not much used but it is now in constant use. Asks if a structural matter of this kind comes un Street's department. 23 June 1893
