Copy letter from E O Brown, to Mr Abel 'The detonation of the thoroughly wet disc as compared with the disc direct from the press is only a question of the amount of dry guncotton fired. Expt. 1. - Wet disc and ordinary primer. Wet disc did not detonate. 1/4 lb. wet disc and 1/4 lb. dry guncotton. Both detonated. An inch and a half plate was perforated without tamping. (signed) E. O.
