<dc:title>Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to the Publication Agency, John Hopkins University, Baltimore</dc:title>
<dc:description>Sends thanks for the parcel of dissertations recently sent. All dissertations of a scientific nature are especially valuable as the Society has a large collection of such papers and wishes to make this a special feature of the library. This does not apply however to dissertations of a purely classical or literary subject. The Library Committee has lately passed a resolution deciding not to shelve any publications of the latter nature. Those already sent can be usefully lodged in various public libraries.</dc:description>
