<dc:title>Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Michael Foster</dc:title>
<dc:description>Encloses a letter received from Mr Common this morning which he forwards as it seems to require immediate attention [not attached] but retains the accompanying documents to be laid before Council on 8 December. An answer has come from the Admiralty this morning which Rix has sent on direct to Common, requesting him to return it before Council. Sir A Geikie has told Rix that, notwithstanding the 'Times' announcement, there is still a little hope that Mr Morley may be able to come to the [Anniversary] dinner. </dc:description>
