<dc:title>Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Monsieur le Secretarie du Comité Hemite a la Sorbonne, Paris</dc:title>
 <dc:description>'Monsieur,
The Royal Society of London subscribed £4 to the Hermite Memorial on November 21, 1892. This sum represents in French money 99 frs [francs] & 96 centimes. In preparing for the annual examination of our accounts, I find no receipt for this amount. I do not doubt that you duly acknowledged it, but your letter unfortunately cannot be found. Will you kindly sign and return to me the enclosed?
Yours truly
Herbert Rix
Asst Sec. R.S. [Assistant Secretary, Royal Society]'. </dc:description>
