<dc:title>Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Michael Foster, [Royal Society]</dc:title>
  <dc:description>'Dear Sir,
On April 27 an application from Mr Hurdin for a grant of £20 in aid of his research on the combination of chlorine with carbon monoxide was deferred for further inquiry. I do nor know whether any inquiry has been made, or who has the matter in hand. I suppose it should be settled before the 5th if possible. I do not know whether you have already written to Messrs Cash and Sell, but, in case you have not, inclose letters for your signature.
Yours truly
H Rix
Asst Sec RS [Assistant Secretary, Royal Society]'. </dc:description>
