<dc:title>Copy letter from Miss Millicent Turner, 3 Endlesham Road, Balham</dc:title>
  <dc:description>'Dear Miss Turner,
The Council yesterday decided to engage your services in our Catalogue Department at a salary of £70 a year, payable monthly, and terminable by a month's notice on either side. We hope you will make it convenient to commence on Monday January 1st., 1894. The hours will be 10 to 5, and the holidays a fortnight in the summer. The first three months of your engagement must be considered as probationary, although I have little doubt that at the end of that time we shall be glad to confirm the engagement.
I am, yours truly,
H Rix
Asst. Sec. R.S. [Assistant Secretary, Royal Society]'. </dc:description>
