<dc:title>Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to J F Hyde, Generla Post Office, Edinburgh</dc:title>
  <dc:description>'Dear Sir,
In answer to your letter of the 23rd ult. [ultimate], a meeting of the Royal Society was held on the 5th October, 1664, but our Minutes give no clue as to the place of meeting. Colonel Dan. O'Neele was not a Fellow of the Society. We have been closed for some days, hence the delay in answering your letter.
Yours faithfully,
H Rix
Asst. Sec. R.S. [Assistant Secretary, Royal Society]'. </dc:description>
