<dc:title>Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Mervyn Herbert Nevil Story Maskelyne, Fellow of the Royal Society</dc:title>
  <dc:description>'Dear Sir,
In answer to yours of the 20th, you are entitled to "Philosophical Transactions" ['Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society'] 1889-93, and these we will send you at once. You will then be wanting in 1886-88 ^(6 parts)^. If you have six parts in good condition among your duplicates, we are willing to exchange; if you have not, it will be necessary to make an appeal to Council. I cannot say whether it would be granted.
I am, yours truly,
H Rix
Asst. Sec. R.S. [Assistant Secretary, Royal Society]'. </dc:description>
