<dc:title>Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Lord Rayleigh [John William Strutt], [Royal Society]</dc:title>
 <dc:description>'My Lord,
Enclosed herewith are five Royal letters for signature & return to me. Dr Foster is still abroad & will be for another 10 or 14 days. Among the letters I have included one for the Duke Alfred, as his name was left upon the Soirée list, but I feel some doubt whether it should go as His Royal Highness is, I believe, abroad.
I am, yours truly,
Herbert Rix
Asst Sec RS [Assistant Secretary, Royal Society]'. </dc:description>
