<dc:title>Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Michael Foster, Secretary, Royal Society, Shelford, Cambridge</dc:title>
  <dc:description>'Dear Sir,
Inclosed is Dr [Ludwig] Mond's answer to your letter. Perhaps you have already seen him, but at any rate, the Treasurer wishes me to send this on to you and to tell you at the same time that your letter to the Smithsonian Institution has not been sent, as it was, of course, based upon the assumption that Mr Mond's consent to the transfer of his fund would be given.
Yours truly,
H Rix
Asst. Sec. R.S. [Assistant Secretary, Royal Society]'. </dc:description>
