<dc:title>Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to M. le Bibliothecaire, L'Institut de France, Paris</dc:title>
<dc:description>Rix responds to a letter addressed to Sir Archibald Geikie, former Foreign Secretary of the Royal Society, regarding the missing numbers 206-213 of 'Proceedings of the Royal Society', which were inclosed in a parcel with 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society' for 1880, parts 2 and 3, and 1881, part 1, sent via Messrs Dulau & Company.

If they are also missing the named volumes of the 'Philosophical Transactions' it is evident that the parcel has gone astray, and Dulau & Company are responsible.</dc:description>
