<dc:title>Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to J W Harrison, Messrs Harrison & Sons, St Martin's Lane, W.C.</dc:title>
 <dc:description>'Dear Mr Harrison,
With respect to your account (£87-15-0) for binding "Phil. Trans" ['Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society'] and "Proceedings" ['Proceedings of the Royal Society'], the Treasurer thinks this should be revised. Your estimate for "Phil. Trans." was 1/- a volume, taking the average size. We are, of course, aware that volume A of the past year is double the size of the average volume, or nearly so, but we do not think it should be charged double the price; stitching no doubt would cost double, but boards and cloth would not. I return the account herewith for revision.
I am, yours truly,
H Rix
Asst. Sec. R.S. [Assistant Secretary, Royal Society]'.</dc:description>
