<dc:title>Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Dr Karl Grossmann, 70 Rodney Street, Liverpool</dc:title>
  <dc:description>'Dear Sir,
I laid before the Soiree Committee at their meeting yesterday your offer to show a model of the crater at Hverfjall, and Mr Lomas's offer of perlitic structure forming. The Committee, however, thought that both of these are of too technical a character for our Ladies' Conversazione, and I am, therefore, instructed, while thanking you for your kindness in offering to show them, to decline them for this occasion. Will you kindly inform Mr. Lomas of this decision as I do not know his address? I return herewith the copy of "The Glacialists' Magazine" which you kindly lent for the use of the Committee.
I am, yours truly,
H Rix
Asst. Sec. R.S. [Assistant Secretary, Royal Society]'.</dc:description>
