<dc:title>Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Percy Caryle Gilchrist, Fellow of the Royal Society</dc:title>
  <dc:description>'Dear Sir,
The meeting is this afternoon Wednesday 23rd at 4 p.m. It is not a meeting of the Royal Society, but of the Government Grant Committee of which Mr W Richards is an ex officio member. The Commee [Committee] is for voting upon assignments from the "Parliamentary" grant of £4000 which is administered by the R.S. [Royal Society]. It is entirely for Mr Richards to say whether it is important enough to bring him from Yorkshire. It is of course an important matter.
Yours truly,
Herbert Rix
Asst. Sec. R.S. [Assistant Secretary, Royal Society]'.</dc:description>
