<dc:title>Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to H Cust, Editor of the "Pall Mall Gazette", 18 Charing Cross Road, W.C.</dc:title>
  <dc:description>'Dear Sir,
With reference to your note addressed to Lord Rayleigh, I am instructed to explain that, in consequence of the great demand for invitations and the limited space at our disposal, complimentary cards are sent to the editors of papers for the June Soiree only in rotation, a certain number being invited each year. The whole of the Press are, however, invited to the Press View in the afternoon, and I have pleasure in inclosing herewith a ticket for that function.
I am, yours truly,
H Rix
Asst. Sec. R.S. [Assistant Secretary, Royal Society]'. </dc:description>
