<dc:title>Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to J C Francis, "Notes & Queries" Office, Bream's Buildings, Chancery Lane, E.C.</dc:title>
 <dc:description>'Dear Sir,
I have to-day had an opportunity of consulting our Officers as to the sale of "Notes & Queries". They desire me to tell you that the Library Committee ordered the sale of that publication, but that, since the greater part perhaps of the series has been given to us by yourself, if you care to have them, the whole set should be handed over to you without payment.
I am, yours faithfully,
H Rix
Asst. Sec. R.S. [Assistant Secretary, Royal Society]'.</dc:description>
