Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Sir John Evans, Treasurer, Royal Society Rix encloses Messrs Clay & Sons answer stating the terms on which they would publish the Supplemental Volume of the 'Catalogue of Scientific Papers'. He has also obtained from Horace Hart, at Oxford University Press, a statement of their prices, which Rix runs through and states thay he does not see a benefit of going to them, and indeed there would be the negative consequence that they would be beyond easy reach for the purposes of supervision. 31 July 1894
