Correspondence files, Philip, J R Philip was an Australian soil physicist, who shared Hanbury Brown's concern regarding postwar changes in the scientific ethos. In 1975, he had been the coordinator of the Science Task Force, a consultative committee of the Royal Commission on Australian Government Administration.
