<dc:title>Referee's report by Ernest William Hobson, on a paper 'A memoir on integral functions' by Ernest William Barnes</dc:title>
  <dc:description>Sectional committee: Mathematics

Recommended for publication in Philosophical Transactions. A considerable amount of space is given over to historical matter and this may be more appropriate in a treatise on the subject than in a special memoir. He does not make any recommendation on this point as there is much to be said in favour of such a paper containing a detailed historical summary of a subject which has only recently been developed.

[Published in Philosophical Transactions A, 1902].
