<dc:title>Referee's report by the Secretaries of the Royal Society, on a paper 'The electric response of inorganic substances. Preliminary notice' by Jagadis Chunder Bose</dc:title>
  <dc:description>Sectional committee: [Physics and chemistry]

The Secretaries in view of the appended opinion of Sir George Stokes [no appended item], and of the discussion which took place at the meeting of the Society when the paper was read, requested the opinion of Sir John Burdon-Sanderson as to its publication, and his report is annexed. Having regard to Sir George Stoke's opinion that the paper is not of much physical interest and to Burdon-Sanderson's opinion that it is of no physiological interest, the Secretaries are inclined to think that it should not be published at all.
