Supplement to a memoir on skew variation' by Karl Pearson Sectional Committee: Mathematics Recommended for publication in Philosophical Transactions, in full and without modification. It supplies a gap in a memoir previously published by the author. All three illustrations should be reproduced but the author should be consulted as to the reduction of scale. He speaks only with respect to the general purpose of the paper; not to its mathematical accuracy, on which he is incompetent to form an opinion, but which he has no reason whatever to doubt.
