<dc:title>Referee's report by William James Lloyd Wharton, on a paper 'The circulation of the surface waters of the North Atlantic ocean' by H N Dickson</dc:title>
  <dc:description>Sectional committee: Geology

Recommended for publication in Philosophical Transactions, in full. The following omissions should be undertaken: in part one the detailed description of the chart which speaks for itself; table one; and appendix III, referring to table I. The charts are an essential part but it is not necessary that they should be coloured. The paper is an interesting attempt to ascertain the action of the slower circulation of the part of the Atlantic dealt with, and though some of the generalizations appear to use imperfect data, it is a distinct advance in knowledge.
